İbrahim Murat Gündüz, the most senior referee of the Turkish Boxing Federation Central Arbitration Board, has announced his resignation from the organization. In a statement released to the press, Gündüz cited personal reasons for his decision to step down from his position.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as the most senior referee of the Turkish Boxing Federation Central Arbitration Board,” said Gündüz. “However, I have decided to resign from my position due to personal reasons. I would like to thank the Federation for their trust in me and wish them all the best in the future.”

Gündüz has been a member of the Turkish Boxing Federation Central Arbitration Board since its inception in 2001. He has served as its most senior referee for the past 12 years. During his time with the organization, Gündüz oversaw some of Turkey’s biggest boxing matches, including bouts between former world champions Evander Holyfield and Muhammad Ali.

The announcement of Gündüz’s resignation comes as a surprise to many in the boxing community, as he is widely respected for his experience and knowledge of the sport. It is not yet known who will replace Gündüz as the most senior referee of the Turkish Boxing Federation Central Arbitration Board. However, it is clear that his departure will be a significant loss for the organization.
